Tiply (Pty) Ltd (“Tiply”, “we”, “us”) helps shoppers give cashless tips via retailer-issued digital vouchers. Recipients redeem those vouchers and see the value as a non-transacting Tiply Balance, then request withdrawals to SA payout methods. This policy explains how we handle personal information on tiply.co.za (the public site) and app.tiply.co.za (the user portal). We operate in South Africa and follow POPIA and other applicable laws.

2) What we do (and don’t do)

We issue and redeem retailer vouchers that show as Tiply Balance (display only, not a payment wallet).

Users can request withdrawals to a SA bank account or supported cash-out method after basic KYC.

We do not store card details and we don’t run a transacting wallet.
3) The information we collect

6) How we share information
We never sell your data. We share only when needed to run Tiply or when the law requires it, for example with:

Retailers/issuers (recon & validation), banks/payout processors (withdrawals), KYC providers (verification), and hosting/infrastructure partners (site, portal, and API).
All service providers are bound by confidentiality and process data under our instructions.
7) Where we store/process data
Our systems run primarily in South Africa. If a trusted provider stores or processes data outside SA, we use safeguards consistent with POPIA (e.g., contractual protections / adequate jurisdictions).
8) How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as needed for service delivery, legal/regulatory requirements (including AML/FICA), dispute resolution, and security/audit. When no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.
9) Your privacy rights (POPIA)
You can request access to your information, ask us to correct it, object to certain processing, or request deletion where lawful. Where we rely on consent (e.g., optional marketing), you can withdraw it at any time.

10) Security
We use HTTPS/TLS, token-based access, least-privilege controls, and audit logging. No system is perfect; if a data incident poses a risk to you, we’ll notify you and (where required) the Information Regulator.
11) Children
Our services are intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove where appropriate.
12) Updates to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for material changes, we’ll highlight them on the site or in-product.
