A fintech service that turns a shopper’s tip into a retailer-issued digital voucher. The recipient redeems it and sees the value in their non-transacting Tiply Balance, then withdraws to bank or supported cash-out methods.
How does a recipient redeem?
Open WhatsApp or the portal, enter the voucher code, and the value appears in the Tiply Balance.
What if I don’t have data or a smartphone?
Redemption is designed to be lightweight. However you will require a phone and data to support WhatsApp chats, we are working on alternatives and locations that can assist.
Do I need an app?
No. It’s mobile-first and works via WhatsApp and a simple web portal.
How do withdrawals work?
Recipients request a payout in the portal/WhatsApp to a SA bank account or supported cash-out method. Basic KYC(Upload ID, Proof of Address) is required before first withdrawal.
How does a shopper tip?
Buy a Tiply voucher at participating retailers (or approved channels). You receive a voucher code/slip to hand to the recipient.
What if a voucher is lost or the code is unreadable?
Keep the slip safe. If it’s damaged, contact support with proof of purchase and time/location; recovery is not guaranteed but we’ll try to help.
Is Tiply safe?
Yes. No cash handling, Traceable, Secured login, and KYC on withdrawals. We don’t store card details.
What is the Tiply Balance?
A display of redeemed value (not a payment wallet). It shows what you can withdraw.
Are there fees?
There are small, clearly shown fees for certain payout methods. The shopper’s purchase price is displayed at the till.
Do vouchers expire?
Unredeemed PIN's expire after 3 years.
Redeemed Values does not expire.
